Learned that the author originally wrote this story without any mythological characters Chained by the spell that captured him hundreds of years ago, he can no longer take his true jinni form.

Lot of research about the time period and we all learned a lot about New York in 1899, we just weren't expecting to! We liked how realistic all the characters seemed, even the magical Jinni and golem which made us feel as if they could possibly exist. We enjoyed ALL the characters, not just the main ones, they all played an important role and sometimes carried the story themselves.
